This is the third time we have worked with BROKEN_CANYON and he is still a figure shrouded in complete mystery. We still know nothing about him. And this is fine.

Because BROKEN_CANYON lets the music do the talking. His newest album, Paradise 1116, sees this talented producer honing his craft and creating one of his most evocative releases yet. Throughout these 8 tracks, BROKEN_CANYON uses deep, sprawling pads and blissful, weightless synth lines as materials to conjure dreamy visions of vast, deserted urban landscapes and otherworldly vistas. His musical style is evolving and improving from one release to the next and Paradise 1116 is a testament to BROKEN_CANYON's ability to paint strange worlds and beautiful dreams.

I love the fact that vaporwave/dreampunk projects like these have such extremely evocative aesthetics they directly fill your mind with sensations you didn't know you had. You'd maybe think it relies on that solely, but it's coupled with gorgeous musicianship + intense production ideas.
